Haldiram's has a total combined revenue of more than Rs 4,000 crore, operating in three different areas.
During the financial year 2016, India’s major sweets and snacks manufacturing brand, Nagpur-based Haldiram's, saw a 13 percent growth in its revenue surpassing multinational brands such as Nestle Maggi, Domino’s and even McDonald’s, as reported by the indianexpress.
The report says that the company has now a combined revenue of over Rs 4,000 crore operating in three distinct areas of operation.
“We have increased our reach and developed products in-house that ensure quality control. We also understand Indian palate well and that comes handy while launching new products,” said Kamal Agarwal, one of the members of the founding family.
Apart from the International brands, the company also left behind regional manufacturers including Bikaji Foods and Bikanervala.
Initially, the business commenced with a small shop during 1937 in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Since then it has grown enormously and now has become a household name across the country.
A book has also been written by author Pavitra Kumar in 2016, titled ‘Bhujia Barons’, in order to shed light on the journey of this business which has been carried forward by four generations of the original Aggarwal family.
